As summer kicks off, I’ve had lots of people tag me on my Instagram or Twitter pages about my photography. The most common question I get is, “how do I make my Instagram photos look better, Ant?” I can easily jump into handling exposure and saturation or even discuss composition. But in a nutshell, it’s all about practice.
Back when I used to host a smartphone photography community, we would have weekly conversations on air discussing smartphone photography and just photography in general. In the video below, we had a great discussion about what it takes to be a better photographer. Even if the likes of Twitter and Instagram has now made virtually everyone a photographer, how do you separate your Instagram shots from the millions of others? How about taking 10 minutes a day to shoot and work on your photography skills. You’ll see a big difference over time.
